Chances are you read the title and immediately got intrigued; don’t worry, I intend to deliver on my promise. But before I do, I just want to cover what Custom GPTs are (for the newbies, of course).

What are custom GPTs?

Well, you know how when you open ChatGPT you see a section written Explore GPTs? Yeah, those are custom GPTs.
But the thing about those ones is that:
  • They take too long to build
  • You can’t really monetize off of them.
  • Plus, you have to have some sort of prompting or programmable skills to get one of those bad boys working.
That’s why in today’s Matchbox, I’ll be sharing a tool that not only simplifies the process of building your very own custom GPT, but also simplifies the whole monetization process for you.
Before we dive in, I just want to share a few examples of chatbots that are already generating crazy amounts of traffic to their sites and, most of all, revenue.

Example Chatbots:

Learn To Coach: Is an AI chatbot that teaches people how to coach.
Bundly Studio: Is an AI chatbot that helps business owners with their marketing.
Capybara: Is an affirmations AI chatbot that teaches one positivity (yeah makes no sense to me either).

Now with that into account, let’s get into it.

So the tool is called Pickaxe, and here’s how it works:
So first up, all you have to do is create an account, and once you get to the home page (the dashboard), I want you to click on “create,” and you’ll see something like this ⇩
Now at this point, you have two options: you either prompt the bot yourself by clicking on “create,” or you let Pickaxe prompt the bot for you by clicking on “Automatic AI builder.”

If you went with the first option, hang on for a moment. If you went with the second option, Pickaxe is going to ask you 3 questions to better understand the AI chatbot you’re trying to build.
Once you’ve answered all 3 questions, it will go on to generating the prompt and AI chatbot for you and prompt you to click on a link which will redirect you to the bot where you will have to go on an A/B test for yours and just interact with it.

Now for those who chose option 1, you’ll be redirected to the same page, but instead of testing your chatbot, you’ll have to prompt and train it on your data.
The same concept applies to those that chose option 2.
Watch this video to get a better understanding of how this works:
Once you’re done building your bot, click on “continue” up top, and you’ll be sent to the design page where you can fully customize the look.

Side note: if you’re planning on white labeling the bot, make sure to set your Privacy mode on public and turn off Clone.
You don’t want anyone cloning your work.
Trust me on that one.

Deploy Studio

Once all of that is done, you’re sent to a page that looks like the one below. This is where I want you to click on “deploy” and click “add to studio.”
Now at this point forward, it’s all on you.
The studio is where you get to customize your landing page, monitor users, and set up your Stripe payment for monetization. Like I said, there’s more to it than what I mentioned above.
So if you’re interested in trying out Pickaxe for yourself, click here!
